The first composition between two genres is through a writing piece, a journal article which is intended for the readers mostly a target audience of social media consumers meaning Tiktok , Instagram ,Snapchat and even magazines can be used as a platform for the idea. The tone used in this piece would be mostly sad or conflicting due to how in the magazines the woman would feel self-conscious of what their bodies look like compared to how the models would have the “ ideal “ body making the women feel like they are not beautiful. The purpose of this composition would be to spread the idea of bringing to light the societal problem of beauty standards and why they should be eliminated immediately. The genre used in the composition is journal articles and the medium is social media, mostly a magazine posted on instagram in order to mostly target women. The other possible medium for this genre would be Tik Tok posts or a Snapchat post. The context of this composition dated back to 2010 till the present time with the recurring idea of how beauty standards have gotten more complicated and more demanding for what “beauty” is supposed to look like. The author has a more negative mindset towards this idea of women’s bodies being exposed on social media due to how the supposed “ideal” body is getting more praised than women that have natural bodies and flaws making it hard for people to accept this in society.

The second composition is a comedy standup that is very popular within an audience that is much younger ranging from teenagers to young adults. The tone used in this comedy stand up is mostly seen as positive due to the jokes landing but some people especially women didn’t find these types of jokes very funny or appealing due to making them feel like women’s bodies are a joke. The purpose of this composition is mostly to show how yes people can make jokes about certain topics but have to be careful or ready to receive backlash for a joke to be seen as insensitive to a crowd of people which would mostly be women. The genre used for this composition is a comedy stand up and the medium is a show that can be found on Youtube or call it a website. A possible medium for this genre would be a twitter post because on that app post a lot of comedy skits or Youtube. The context of this piece is based on a stand up show that happened in the early 2000’s of 2003. The author took this as a chance to apologize for their insensitivity towards the women’s body jokes but wanted to put laughter and smiles on peoples faces despite making these harsh jokes.

The reason why I chose these two genres for my composition is because it will most likely bring attention to an audience much younger through the uses of the internet and media apps since this topic is within a societal matter then these genres can shed some insight on how to change this matter. By composing the ideas of beauty standards and showing how these types of standards are a problem, I believe I can attract the audience’s attention to this matter by of course the main source of the beauty standards which is all social media platforms stemming from Twitter, Youtube, Tik Tok , Snapchat and Instagram which could be the medium of it all. I believe it could reach an age group of teens to adolescence even older people but mostly women. As for the second genre , for the woman that accept the jokes that are made due to their bodies then that will be fine since some can take the jokes and see no harm but as for the others they feel as if to pull back on some of those jokes since it could hurt which I believe it could cause less type of harsh insecurities that woman would feel. 

The barriers of commuting to my audience are very plenty so far and probably will further grow. The first genre the main limitation would be some don’t think that social media is a problem and will continue to use it. As popular as social media can be, some may just use it to block out real world problems like a form of escapism. To overcome this type of barrier we could just delete these social media apps and make life a lot easier by looking at the bigger picture.  Another solution can be to take a break from social media if you don’t really want to delete it just step away for a while. For the second genre the main barrier would be lack of sensitivity of human morals. The best way to overcome this type of barrier is to ask what is appropriate and what is taking it too far.

The composing process is very different from my inquiry based essay because the essay just required four sources and explained the use for these sources while for the composing part of this essay the attention to detail really plays a role to keep the audience intrigued as possible.
